A 64-year-old grandfather was killed during a break-in by still unidentified persons at the family residence in Calauan, Laguna on Friday morning.

Initial police reports indicated that the 69-year-old sister of the fatality suffered knife injuries but survived the attacked that took place around 6 am.

Isidro Malabanan, brother of the two victims, said he discovered his siblings past 6 pm when he heard the cries for help of his injured sister.

The wounded grandmother was reportedly able to identify their attackers, a relative who held a personal grudge against them.

Police are now looking for the person of interest for questioning.

No other details about the incident was released to the news media.
