DSWD warns public vs AICS "fixers"

2/14/25, 9:14 AM

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) reiterated its warning to the public against unscrupulous individuals offering their “middleman” services to facilitate requests from the agency’s Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS).

“Muli po naming pinaalalahanan ang ating mga kababayan na iwasan ang pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga fixers o mga middleman na nagsasabing tutulong sila para mapadali ang pagpasa ng mga requirements sa kahit anong programa ng ahensya, lalong-lalo na sa mga dumudulog sa aming mga Crisis Intervention Unit (CIU)-Satellite Offices,” Asst. Secretary Irene Dumlao, the DSWD’s spokesperson, said on Friday (February 14).

In an effort to make the AICS program more accessible, the DSWD updated its CIU- Satellite Offices in Metro Manila for clients in need of medical, burial, or financial assistance.

Clients in crisis residing in the cities of Manila, San Juan, Makati, Mandaluyong, and Quezon City can submit their requirements for the AICS program to the agency’s Legarda Satellite Office located at Jaime Dela Rosa St., corner Dalupan St., Sampaloc, Manila.

The Baclaran Satellite Office, located at the 2nd Floor of the Victory Mall Food Market, Redemptorist Road in Muntinlupa City, will be serving the needs of clients residing in the cities of Pasay, Las Piñas, Parañaque, and Muntinlupa.

For residents in the cities of Pasig, Taguig, Marikina, and the Municipality of Pateros, they may submit their requirements at the Pasig Satellite Office at the 2nd Floor of Lianas Supermarket, Caruncho Avenue, Brgy. Palatiw, Pasig City.

Meanwhile, those residing in the Northern Manila District or CAMANAVA area (Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, and Valenzuela), may submit their requirements at the CAMANAVA Satellite Office located at the 3rd Floor of the 999 Shopping Mall, Gen. Luna St., Brgy. 16 Poblacion, Caloocan City.

The satellite offices are open from 8:00am to 5:00pm, from Monday to Friday.

The AICS is one of the social welfare services of the DSWD that provides medical, burial, transportation, education, food, or financial assistance to individuals who are in crisis as assessed by social workers.

The provision of various social welfare services is aligned with the goals of the Marcos administration to ensure that no one is left behind during crises and emergencies.
