Pasig court extends Quiboloy’s medical furlough over infected dental implant

Citing dental problems besetting controversial Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KoJC) leader Apollo Quiboloy, the Pasig Regional Trial Court has extended his medical furlough for another week.
Quiboloy’s legal counsel Israelito Torreon said the extended medical furlough was granted by the court after a long discussion on his client’s request.
“It was approved until Wednesday. Mataas na diskusyon po pero na-approved naman,” he told reporters during an ambush interview.
“As to the details of which, I cannot disclose because I think you know the nature of the proceedings of this case,” he said.
However, reporters later learned that an infected dental implant has been bothering the religious leader.
Torreon had revealed that the dental issue has affected his client’s jaw.
“Merong infection po kasi iyong kanyang dental implants,” said Torreon.
Quiboloy a human trafficking case before the Pasig RTC.
He was rushed to the Philippine Heart Center on November 8 after feeling discomfort in the chest area the day before.
Quiboloy went back to his detention quarters on November 16.
He had previously asked the court to place him under hospital arrest but the request was rejected by the court.
Quiboloy is facing a non-bailable qualified human trafficking charge, He has also been charged with violation of Republic Act 7610 or the
Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
