Team Oaminal pushes for continuation of successful program of governance

10/12/24, 11:21 AM

Team Oaminal in Misamis Occidental is seeking a fresh mandate in the 2025 mid-term elections and appeared to be headed to another sweep.

Headed by re-electinist Gov. Henry Oaminal Sr. members of the group have filed their Certificates of Candidacy in the May elections, vowing to continue the programs of government they initiated during the past three years.

Also seeking re-election are Vice Go. Rowena Gutierrez, Rep. Ando Oaminal of the first district and Jason Almonte of the second district.

The governor said the peace and order program remains to be the top concern of his group.

He recalled that there has been a decline in the crime rate in Misamis Occidental from 24.52 percent in 2016 to 13.64 percent in the first half of 2024.

Under Oaminal’s leadership the province has been declared insurgency free.

“Our program in Asenso Misamis has achieved what it takes to pursue progress. Communities are citizens are now reaping what we sow during our term and we are happy that they are fully supportive of the reforms initiated,” said Oaminal.

Just recently, the Pangil Bay bridge was opened to traffic making it the longest sea-crossing bridge in Mindanao that connects Misamis Occidental to Lanao del Norte.
