BANGKOK, Thailand — Despite an impressive performance in this year's Miss Global beauty pageant in Thailand's capital, 26-year-old Xena Ramos was named fourth runner-up with Vietnam's Nhu Van Nguyen winning the coveted crown.

The rest of the runners-up include delegates from Jamaica, Puerto Rico and the United States.

Ramos was aiming to win the Philippines' second Miss Global title, after Shane Tormes in 2022, but she is nevertheless satisfied with her fourth runner-up finish. "I'm really just so happy with my performance. I carried this flag with so much pride, love, and honor. I really want to thank all my teammates, hay ang dami kong pasasalamatan pero I just want to share it with you right away," the Filipina beauty spelled out in a series of Instagram stories.

"Thank you so much. Mahal na mahal ko kayong lahat. All my prayers worked," she added.
