Sa pangunguna ng iba’t-ibang simbahang Katoliko sa bansay, sinimulan ng mga Katolikong Pilipino ang pagdarasal para sa kaligtasan ni Pope Francis na lumalaban ngayon sa isang health crisis.

Humingi si Cardinal Jose Advincula ng Manila ng “community prayers” upang ipakiusap ang pagbalik sa mabuting kalusugan ni Pope Francis na lumalaban umano sa double pneumonia.

“In union with the whole Church, let us pray fervently for the healing of our Holy Father, Pope Francis,” apela ni Advincula.

Sa Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Parish sa Project 4, sinimulan din ang pag-Rosaryo ng mga kasapi ng Family Rosary Crusade upang hilingin ang agarang paggaling ng Papa.

Ginawa ito ng mga Catholic faithful matapos na umapela ang Vatican City ng dasal.

Una rito, nagpahiwatig na ng pag-aalala ang mga kasapi ng Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines sa kalagayan ni Pope “Francis.

Nitong Miyerkules (Peb. 19), nanawagan ang mga obispo ng sama-samang dasal upang gumaling na sa kanyang karamdaman ang papa.

“Prayers, Please. Pope Francis is currently hospitalized and is undergoing treatment for pneumonia. Despite his condition, doctors say he remains in good spirits and has expressed gratitude for the prayers he has received,” sinabini CBCP president Pablo Virgilio Cardinal David sa kanyang Facebook post.

Isang dasal ang isinulat ni Cardinal Advincula para sa Papa:

Loving and merciful God, we implore You to look kindly upon Your servant, Pope Francis

Touch him with your compassion and consolation

Restore his health and renew his strength in mind, body, and spirit
Surround him with your peace and the support of the prayers of your holy people
We place Pope Francis in your healing love through the doctors, nurses,
and medical professionals who take care of him

We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
