Miss Universe Philippines officially launched the 2025 pageant season with a grand press presentation featuring 69 stunning delegates from across the country.
Held at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel, the event, dubbed "The Reveal," introduced this year's contestants to the media, setting the stage for what is expected to be one of the most competitive editions yet.
Several seasoned beauty queens have joined the competition, including Miss Earth-Air 2023 Yllana Marie Aduana (Siniloan, Laguna), Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 Teresita Ssen "Winwyn" Marquez (Muntinlupa City), and Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Second Runner-Up and Miss International 2018 First Runner-Up Ahtisa Manalo (Quezon Province).
Other notable contenders include Miss Globe 2022 semi-finalist Chelsea Fernandez (Sultan Kudarat), Reina Hispanoamericana 2019 Fifth Runner-Up Katrina Llegado (Taguig City), and Miss Philippines Earth 2022 runner-up Jasmine Paguio.
"This year, there are a lot of former queens who have won both in local and international pageants. When they ask us for advice, we tell them that no one can stop them from pursuing their plans," said MUPH executive vice president Voltaire Tayag.
"But we also cannot promise or guarantee what the results will be. I can stand here and be very proud to say that in Miss Universe Philippines, it is always the judges that have a final say."
Meanwhile, Miss Universe Philippines also announced that 2013 Third Runner-Up Ariella Arida has been appointed as the new National Director for Training and Development, and she will focus on "shaping the next generation of uniquely beautiful Filipinas."
The reigning Miss Universe Philippines and Miss Universe Asia 2024, Chelsea Manalo, will crown her successor at the upcoming pageant.
The winner will go on to represent the Philippines in Miss Universe 2025, set to take place on November 21 at the Impact Muang Thong Thani Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
