Singaporeans are praying for Eddie Low, a 66-year-old retiree now battling three primary cancers - in the lung, liver and just recently prostate.

Low’s sad but incredible story was published by the Singapore Straits Times as it noted that all three primary cancers, he was suffering in did not have any symptoms.

His doctor found cancer in his liver and his lungs after the tests.

A retired church worker, Low discovered of his illnesses after a routine medical check-up he underwent in 2017.

Immediately, he underwent a keyhole surgery for the two cancers. The operation was successful

In 2018, his family got another depressing news when he was found to be suffering from prostate cancer.

He was then undergoing treatment for his lung cancer that had spread to the lymph node within his thorax.

He told an interview that there were no symptoms, thus, he was unaware that the cancer cells have grown.

Had it not for the 2017 medical checkup Low would have not discovered his condition.

Low lamented that he had been given false hopes in his battle against the deadly disease.

Married to 64-year-old education sector worker, Low’s condition could be part of a campaign on cancer awareness. November marks Lung Cancer Awareness month.

He ‘hardly "smoked yet cancer growth has been found in his lungs.

Lung cancer in the Philippines remains the most common among cancers. Smoking remains to be the number 1 cause of this disease.

Liver cancer is the fourth most common type of cancer, next to lung, breast and colon but ranks second in terms of deaths.

On the other hand, prostate cancer is the third most common type of cancer among Filipino men.
